Selection Process for Capital Projects

The selection process for capital projects (generally over $2 Million) is goverened by the Oklahoma A & M Colleges Board of Regents. After the need for a capital project has been identified, and the University or College is ready to request permission to proceed with the selection process for an Architect and Construction Manager, the University Architect  will present a request for approval to the Board of Regents. The request shall contain a brief description of the scope of the project and a project budget range estimate.

Upon approval from the Board of Regents, the University Architect will then obtain a list of architectural firms and construction management firms who are registered with Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services. (OMES).

A selection committee will review the Architectural and Construction Management firms, who submitted a Letter of Interest, create a short list for interviews and submit a minimum of 3 firms in each area for consideration by the Board of Regents.
